With more than 20 years as a leader in the oil and gas industry, owner of multiple small businesses, and as a commissioned officer in the United States Army, Tam Tran brings his leadership acumen and honed process & systems approach to clients at The Huuman Group.

Tam has led, planned, and executed numerous business and strategic priorities as an engineer and operations leader, managing P&L’s and leading 50+ member teams of employees and contractors. Now, as executive coach and operations head, Tam applies his forward looking, growth-oriented leadership approach to his work with clients implementing systems and processes that enable people and teams to flourish and organizations to operate optimally.

In addition to his military and oil &gas background —which often requires a keen understanding and navigation of various stakeholders, bureaucracy, politics, and restriction— Tam also has a strong entrepreneurial background having successfully started several companies including a youth favorite "Mish Mash Slime" and Madeline Vy and Company, both of which ranked in the top 1% of shops on e-commerce site Etsy.com.

Tam is a Certified Executive Coach from UC Berkeley’s Executive Coaching Institute and earned a group coaching certification from HumanQ. He holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from UCLA Anderson School of Management, a Master of Arts in Leadership Studies from the University of Texas in El Paso, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
